21. LA FIESTA DE LAS PLANTAS

                                               Había dos camotes y una alegre coliflor

danzando con el choclo y el melocotón.

en eso un platanal aburrido

y el níspero renegón dijeron:

¡Basta de alboroto!,

¡se acabó la reunión!

Luego aparece una tremenda papaya

y una espinosa piña demasiado

tarde para celebrar la fiesta de las plantas.

La papa y el tomate siempre

juntos miraban de lejos

con tristeza a la colorada fresa y solo el

verdoso pepinillo queriendo entrar

a la fiesta.

Después llegó la señora cebolla de

tristeza  también se puso a llorar sin

poder aceptar la fiesta suspendida.

THE FEAST OF PLANTS

 There were two sweet potatoes and cauliflower cheerful

dancing with the corn and peach .
